Family Pictures

My Handsome Husband with our cute baby.
I have no control in this department, but it is a cool picture.

This picture is mid-shiver. It was pretty cold, which is why we don't have many smiling pictures.

My talented sister-in-law Leilani took these pictures. Check out her web-site if you're in need. LMRphotography.blogspot.com

Trouble Trouble Trouble

It's all about unloading, the taller he gets the more he can unload/break!
It's hard to get anything done with a small person attached to you.
It didn't take long to find the good stuff.
He climbed up the box, onto the coffee table, got the remote and then backed his way down.. I'm in big trouble!
Caught stealing my ornaments..

Cedar Hills

Has is really been this long? I know I haven't posted anything for quite some time, but here is a quick update. We moved to Cedar Hills the beginning of December. We have been crazy busy getting everything unpacked and painting and making the home a show home. I think it turned out well, I love the colors we chose. We don't have the internet unless we happen to be on the same time as our neighbors... (which is why I haven't been posting). We had a fabulous Holiday season. We spent Christmas Eve at my parents house with my sister Danielle, and due to the 8 inches of snow we received that evening we decided to spend the night. Which meant Danielle and I would stay up and watch a classic... The Grinch with Jim Carrey, definitely a favorite. We had a great meal, opened presents and just had fun. Christmas morning we woke up and drove to Spanish Fork to spend Christmas day with the Roberts. Quite a different environment, two kids vs. ten! We had a great time. Kyle went sledding with the family, I chose to stay in with Kalel because he has been sick with thrush, sadly he wasn't all that enthusiastic about the presents and Christmas in general. We then went to Cedar City to find a place to live, (didn't we just move?) we have decided it is time for Kyle to go back to George Wythe. I am excited to live by my three sisters again. We came home in time for the Richard's Christmas party which was great. Then we spent New Years Eve with Kyle's family, eating and playing games. I then got sick, but the good news is we are all now healthy and happy.
I printed Christmas cards which are all stamped and sitting on my kitchen counter...

Crawling!

Kalel has started crawling...
If I leave for a minute, I'm not sure where I'll find him. This time he was stuck under the table.
Who me? What did I do?

Busy boy, play time, tired mommy

We have a future Mozart on our hands.
Kyle put him in the laundry basket...
And in the tupperware drawer. He loves his Dad.

By the end of our busy days, after we have wrestled a tired boy to sleep it doesn't take me long to follow.

Octoberish

Kyle's sister had a pumpkin carving contest, and parties are always more fun if you're dressed up, right? We decided to be smurfs. It was pretty funny, Kalel just kept staring at us.We couldn't resist, he had to be Superman for Halloween! Kyle's teaching him how to fly..This was hilarious. Kyle and I were in the other room and came back to find this. He somehow climbed in here, and then was stuck. : )

Daddy's Girl

After we had lost the camera, my Dad was asking about what kind of a camera it was and the next thing we knew he bought us an early Christmas present. We now have a new camera so we don't miss any of the fun moments with Kalel. Thanks Dad!

Fun Adventures and a sad day

Since I haven't written for so long I will let you know, we had a fabulous August through September. We spent some time with my family and Kyle's family at my Grandpa's cabin in Island Park, Idaho. Definitely one of my all time favorite places in this world. While we were there we spent some time in Yellowstone Park where we saw a lot of buffalo. We watched Old Faithful go off under the full moonlight, floated the Snake River, roasted marshmallows etc. It was a blast.

A few weeks later, Glen took us on a "Steve hike" with horses. We loaded them up, and took off up the canyon. It was beautiful. I don't have much experience, so when Blue (my horse) started to cut corners to catch up with the others, I didn't react fast enough and found myself going through a tree and grabbing a branch that I couldn't duck under. Then of course the branch broke and I ended up on the ground, just in time for my husband to come around the corner to see me falling out of a tree... without a horse. (I would love to have seen it from his perspective). Life is an adventure, isn't it? It really was a great ride until we got to the bottom to find out out our camera had fallen out of Kyle's pocket. (Kyle's parents gave this to us last Christmas). We had two search parties, but with no luck. So I have lost all pictures from August - September. If anyone has any, I would REALLY appreciate it! Kyle assures me that Kalel won't be as sad as me that we don't have pictures of him from ages 5-6 months. I guess that's true.

Surprise!

September 2007

We threw a surprise party for Glen's birthday! Here is his family.
Kalel and I dressed up for the party too!

Summa Fun

July 2007
Kalel had his first camping experience, he loves being
outdoors so he was happy the whole time. He also went swimming for the first time, which you can tell by the splashing, he enjoyed! We have since been swimming a few more times, he loves to be on his stomach. He is getting so big! He attempts to roll over, but doesn't seem too worried about it.

Hangin' Out with Mom

He loves Water! If you look close, you'll see water all over his face. We put him on the kitchen counter so he can see the faucet then he smiles and puts his face in it.
I couldn't help it... this is a common occurrence. I need to bring extra clothes for both of us. The joys of motherhood!
"So what's it like being a cat?"
His shirt says "Irresistible 24/7" (Thanks Shirls & Trev)

Fat & Happy! I love this one. He is watching his Baby Einstein movie.

Sleepy Boy

Kalel has to have this blanket when he sleeps. When you put it over his face he grabs it, sighs and goes to sleep.
Here is Jason and Kalel taking a nap in the back of the Suburban.
This was at the rodeo. It is very loud, but after sucking on Kyle's thumb for 30 minutes, he finally fell asleep. But his favorite place to sleep is with his Mom. (I don't mind either : )

July!

July was a fun filled, busy month! We celebrated the 4th at the balloon festival and then a big BBQ with the fam. I spent some time in SLC with my family at the cabin. Then we went to the Boulder Mountains for male bonding. (they invite the women every other year). We went to the SF Rodeo (Kalel pretty much didn't sleep that day), the next day was Elisha and Phil's wedding in St. George. Then Kyle and I went to Cedar City. He attended a seminar while I hung out with my sisters. By the time we got back it was almost August! We are having so much fun. Kalel is growing, we get a lot of comments about how tall he is and how he looks like a little old man! People say he looks like my Dad... must be the haircut. I think he's a pretty good mix between Kyle and I. We get comments both ways. He is starting to look more and more like his Dad. Kyle is busy washing windows with his buddy Richard. I am happily at home with my baby. We have a lot of fun together. The plan for now is to stay up North for a little while longer. We hope all are doing well, and that everyone is having a fabulous summer!

Getting Stronger!

Kyle is loving the fact the Kalel will stand in his hands now. It still makes me nervous but I will admit, it is really cute! We also went for a walk the other day and he got to wear his new hat that Ben & Brooke gave him. (Thank you, it looks pretty cute). He fell right asleep.

For my Sista

For those who know my sister Danielle... she is in Europe for the month of June. Keeping busy with things like being asked out by a Frenchman (on top on Eiffel Tower) and dancing the night away in Venice! Danielle, we are thinking about you. Hope you are having the time of your life. We love you! By the way I heard that Liam is mad you didn't take him with you. :)
